Christmas in Grenada

When I started this blog I thought perhaps that I would find that I really enjoy writing...that is was some unkown passion of mine. Well, unfortanutaly I did not find that to be the case...thus the lapses between posts, but I shall continue to plug away with it and maybe, just mabye I will find that writing/blogging is something that I do really enjoy. Well, I thought I would just share a little Christmas post for you all. To be completely honest Christmas didn't quite feel like Christmas is supposed to feel or how I remember it feeling. It was hard to be away from friends and family but we tried to stay busy so those thoughts would not fill our minds too much. We spent boxing day with our mission "family" celebrating Christmas with a wonderful meal, good food and great fellowship. Here are a few pics from that day.....

The People.....

The Decor....I had fun designing and decorating for the dinner :)

The Games...We asked each location to come prepared to "share" some kind of game, talent etc....It was fun to see what everyone came up with. The first picture was "Guess this Song". Each team was given a paper with a song name on and had to somehow represent that song in order to get the audience to guess it. We were doing "We Three Kings of Orient". Pastor John and Miss Roth were good sports too when they were picked to "be fed" by the person in the blanket behind them. I have not laughed that hard in a very long time. And then we as the committee also planned the game musical gifts or whatever it is called. You have a very tightly wrapped, tapped, tied, tarred & feather gift that you got a chance to work at if you rolled doubles with the dice....the last one to get it opened got to keep the gift. Twas fun!!!!!

Ben and I spent part of Christmas Day on the lovely beach....didn't feel like a "Christmas" thing to do but it was a lovely day for a some relaxation...
